The purpose of the Information Security Management System studies within the scope of ISO 27001 is to ensure information security management, to ensure risk management, to measure information security management process performance and to regulate relations with third parties on issues related to information security in Marmara University IT Department information services.

In this context, the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information Security Management Certificate approved by the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) with the approval of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) was renewed with the determination of compliance with the Information Security Management System ISO/IEC 27001 standard in the 2nd Surveillance Audit held on November 21-22, 2022.
