LICENSED SOFTWARE

 

As a result of the rapid development of computer technology in public institutions and organizations, computer programs commonly used in public services are protected as science and literature under the "Law on ideas and Arts. 5846".

 

In parallel with the copyright system of many countries, as with other types of works, criminal and legal sanctions have been foreseen in the "Act of Arts. 5846" against the use of unlicensed copies of computer programs, reproduction, modification and distribution without the consent of the owner.

 

In accordance with the needs of our presidency, the appropriate software required by our university is licensed. In this respect, under the provisions of the Law on Intellectual and Art Works, the work required to prevent the use of unlicensed software is required to protect intellectual rights.

 

The necessary initiative is undertaken in the opening of both disciplinary and criminal investigations against the unlicensed product and all personnel have been notified of the notice of signature on the grounds that the obligation of compensation against the licensee will be infringed under the corporate responsibility.

Your licensed software needs to be requested by your unit must be requested by following the steps below:

1. Licensed software needed (full software name, version, etc.) determined.

2. The "Software Request Form" on the Information operations Department web page is completed.

3. The licensed software determined by the requesting unit in accordance with the requirements is forwarded to the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department in the attachment as technical specifications, proposals and "Software Request Form".

4. Administrative and Financial Affairs Department will superscript requests to the Information Processing Department with Appendix for their opinion.

5. Requests are reviewed by the Information Processing Department. The requested software is in the inventory of our University, which is recommended if their counterparts have been purchased or their equivalent is available. In addition, in the proposed requests, the Department of Information operations declares an opinion to the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department in terms of system features and specifications in accordance with the sample condition, offer and "Software Request Form".

6. The process of purchase is carried out by the Department of Administrative and Financial Affairs by market research.

7. Purchases are made within the policies and proportions of the Finance Ministry's release.

 

Important: Use of non-licensed products is prohibited.

 

 Under the provisions of the Law on Intellectual and Arts., in order to protect intellectual rights, the necessary work must be carried out by the units and the staff informed to prevent the use of unlicensed software.

 

Under the Law of Intellectual and Art Works No. 5846 and Information Security Management policies, the Information Processing Department does not have any responsibility for any software or software that is opened to use without a license or opinion of the acquisition.
