Email Retrieval Processes for Students

Students can create their email using the BYS user information via the Email Management System (https://hesap.marmara.edu.tr). Students who have previously forgotten their email account password or have problems checking in their account can recreate their email address password from the "change Password" tab at hesap.marmara.edu.tr.

NOTE: Students who have never registered with BYS before (https://bys.marmara.edu.tr) click here to create your first password. they can make their records by clicking on the link. And the students who have forgotten their password, can get their new password through the link I don't remember my password. In the event of any problems with the BYS, students can contact the OBYS (Student BYS) unit of their connected units to check their information and update a problem if any. In the event that no solution can be reached by the, they can request assistance by submitting their problems by submitting a request to "OBYS SUPPORT" at https://destek.marmara.edu.tr/ 

The e-mail quota for students is 2 GB. The maximum sending capacity of an e-mail with attachments is 50 MB.

After web-based access, the capacity is limited to 50 e-mails for each mass e-mail sending from the e-mail account of the users. After 50 e-mails, if e-mails are added as recipients, e-mails will not be sent to these addresses. The bulk sending capacity should not exceed 50 e-mails.

You won't be able to receive emails until you have enough space in your quota, and people who send you emails will receive a warning that their message cannot be delivered because your quota is full.

NOTE: The settings described in this address are for staff e-mail (@marmara.edu.tr). Likewise, when making client settings in student e-mails (@marun.edu.tr), the settings should be made in the same way by replacing the parts that say marmara with marun. (Ex: Incoming server address: posta.marun.edu.tr, Outgoing server address: posta.marun.edu.tr, etc.).

The session duration is 30 minutes after web-based access of our university's e-mail addresses with @marun extension. After 30 minutes, the session is automatically terminated.

Yes, you must have an BYS account to perform all these operations. You cannot perform these operations without your BYS username and password. You may not be able to log in for many reasons. The most common mistakes are the following. 

• You may be typing your entire e-mail when logging in. When logging in; You must log in by typing the part before @marun.edu.tr and your password.
  
  
• There may be a problem with your password, please try to log in again by getting a new password from hesap.marmara.edu.tr It is essential to use special characters when creating your BYS and mail password. For this * ? ! . you can use these special characters. Apart from these characters, most characters are given in the password (some of them are: [ ' ^ + % & / { ( ) ] = } \ | ~ ¨ ` ; , : - etc.) may cause you to be unable to make transactions (unable to log in to e-mail or unable to create an account at hesap.marmara.edu.tr due to the BYS password or unable to reset the password).
  
  
• If you have made too many login attempts, your login process may be blocked for a period of 10-15 minutes. When you receive such a warning, you can wait and wait for the specified time to end and continue the login process.
